Twitter readers 5% as attentive as Google searchers

Reviewing the Google stats of our new Business Leads UK website makes for very interesting reading:
• The average visitor spent 6 minutes 30 seconds looking at 5 pages of BLUK • With Twitter readers being less than 10% as attentive • Google provided above average readers with twice the attention span of the average visitor People have been finding Business Leads UK (BLUK) since the day we pushed the site out under its own domain name. The initial reason for this was we had already used the domain name and so it had built up some natural connection with Google and the other engines. But today, just over a week after the “official launch” of BLUK, Google has generated 153 of our site visitors, each touching an average of 5.44 pages and spending 10 minutes and 21 seconds combing through our site ... the limited pages they can read on the site! The next most popular traffic sources are Business in Berkshire and our BLG Micro site Business Lead Generation, both with 27 visitors. BinB viewers visited 4.74 pages and spent an average of 4 mins and 21 seconds on the site. BLG visitors topping our page board with 7.26 and hanging out for just over 8 minutes. Face book has brought us 17 but since these are mostly pals they stuck around for just 3 minutes ! But they had a longer attention span than those who have found us via Twitter. These number 8 people visiting 1 page with 1 person visiting 2 ... and spending an average of 33 seconds on the site. A similar rhythm is found over at Ecademy, 5 visitors, 1.6 pages and 37 seconds. The source supplying the most attentive visitors is currently the jondavey.co.uk site with 7 visitors, viewing 5.57 pages for an average of 20 minutes each!!!! Direct visitors from the two emails we’ve sent out and others that have come along go to around 5 pages and stick around for 5 minutes ... 1 minute a page ... there is my magic number ... nothing should take more than 1 minute to read if we want to keep our readers attention and get them to bounce around.
