Email Marketing Set For Significant Growth
The E-consultancy report shows that market revenue from email marketing was at around £120 million last year and this will rise to £148 million by the end of 2005.
The growth is said to be due to the increased number of firms turning to third party email solutions, as their own resources are outdated.
Email marketing has also gained favour with companies as it now possible to target and produce personalised delivery at a much lower cost.
The new sectors that are now moving to email and viral marketing include media and publishing, e-commerce, retail, travel, leisure, and financial services.
Areas that businesses believe will increase are the growth of value-added services such as strategy development, copy writing and branding.
